Natural Horsemanship Sessions
These sessions teach you how to train a horse using natural horsemanship techniques. They will last one hour.
During the sessions, we cover topics such as:
-
Observation of equine behavior and interpretation of body language.
-
Leadership and training techniques adapted to the horse's personality.
-
Horse anatomy and biomechanics, including stretching and massage.
-
Troubleshooting specific problems, such as difficulties with trailers or training for veterinary medication.
-
Learning about riding equipment: assessment of harness and bit.
-
Freedom work, bitless training, among other natural horsemanship techniques.
How the sessions work:
We start by getting to know the horse and assessing what it already knows and what it still needs to learn.
Let's identify your personality to understand the best way to work with it.
Depending on the owner's experience, I teach the use of appropriate tools to establish clear and easy-to-understand communication for the horse.
Much of the beginning focuses on explaining how our body language is interpreted by horses.
It is essential that the owner is willing to question and adjust the way they communicate, as this is the basis of a harmonious relationship.
If the horse doesn't have any connection with its owner, we begin by strengthening that bond through specific exercises that promote trust and closeness. Gradually, I teach you to guide your horse so that it sees you as a safe haven.
This work includes practical exercises that reinforce trust and connection between both parties.
It's essential that the owner commits to practicing the exercises learned between sessions. Without this practice, it will be difficult to achieve improvement or progress, as repetition is key to consolidating technique and communicating clearly and effectively with the horse.
Most training difficulties arise from a lack of knowledge about communication and proper timing—that is, knowing when to stop asking. This is one of the most important aspects we'll cover throughout the sessions.
Training progress will always be adjusted to the horse's specific needs, focusing on overcoming any difficulties it presents.
Video Call Sessions:
If you're far away or prefer remote guidance, I also offer video call sessions. These sessions are ideal for those who are already working with horses and need training adjustments or new guidance. Price upon request.
Intensive Sessions:
If you're far from my location, I can hold intensive sessions lasting two to four consecutive days, with morning and afternoon training. All I need is accommodation and meals for the agreed period. Price on request.
The ultimate goal is to create a deep and harmonious relationship with the horse, whether through your own training or my direct work with the horse.
